DC Baramulla Chairs Revenue Officers meeting

 Baramulla, November 16(KNS): Deputy Commissioner Baramulla,Minga Sherpa, chaired a meeting today with Revenue Officers to review the progress of various public service initiatives and discuss revenue matters. The session focused on enhancing service delivery and ensuring effective governance across the district.

A key focus of the meeting was the review of the Samadhaan Portal, aimed at improving the grievance redressal process. The Deputy Commissioner directed officers to ensure the timely and effective resolution of public complaints, reinforcing the importance of transparency and accountability in addressing grievances.

Minga Sherpa also reviewed  revenue matters, with a particular emphasis on the verification of digital land records. He instructed officers to expedite the verification process, resolve discrepancies if any and ensure that land records are accessible to the public in a timely manner, thus contributing to better land management and transparency in the district.

In addition, the Deputy Commissioner discussed the monitoring of essential services, particularly healthcare, during the these winter months. He directed Sub-Divisional and Tehsil-level heads to conduct regular inspections of hospitals to ensure the quality of medical services and maintain readiness to handle increased demand during the colder season.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe goal is to ensure that healthcare facilities are prepared to provide adequate services to the public.

Responding to concerns over drug abuse, DC Baramulla, Minga Sherpa directed the Sub-Divisional and Tehsil-level  heads to conduct anti-drug awareness camps at Tehsil and Sub-Divisions.These camps will focus on educating the public, especially youth, about the dangers of substance abuse and promote a drug-free community.

Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner urged all officers to adopt a proactive approach to governance, streamline services, and strengthen coordination between departments to effectively address public concerns and improve overall governance.

Meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Arshad Ahmad Khan, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gulmarg, Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Uri, Javed Ahmad Rather, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Pattan, Gulzar Ahmad besides All Tehsildars of Baramulla district and other officials.(KNS).
