DC Kupwara Reviews Development Issues at Sogam, Assures Solutions

Sogam, Feb 12 (KNS): Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, on her visit to Sogam, assured that the administration is actively addressing key concerns related to water, power, and healthcare. 


During the visit, Sudan acknowledged the pressing issues of power supply and water availability, stating that efforts under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and various water supply projects, including JJMand JTN, are already in progress. She also mentioned plans to link these initiatives with OREX to enhance their impact.

 She assured that the administration has raised this matter with the concerned department and is working on hiring solutions.  

Regarding water supply issues, Sudan noted that two dams exist in the area but lack proper filtration facilities. A feasibility survey is underway under JJM to assess the potential for establishing a filtration plant, which could ensure clean and sufficient water supply for residents.  

She assured that all relevant departments have taken note of the concerns raised and will work within government guidelines to implement necessary solutions. (KNS)
