DE&CC Ganderbal organises day long mega Job fair at Ganderbal's Manasbal park

 Ganderbal, Oct 21(KNS): Directorate of Employment & district Employment and Counseling Center Ganderbal on Friday Organised a Day Long mega Job Fair at Manasbal Park of Ganderbal.

As per the statement issued here, the fair was inaugurated by Joint Director Employment Kashmir MS Zeenat Ara.

In an endeavour to provide a convenient platform to the educated unemployed youth/Job seekers and to facilitate their interaction with Employers for their Placements, it added.

The event saw an overwhelming response from the Job seekers/ unemployed youth from the District.

The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal presided over the programme. In his address, the DC said that such job fairs play a crucial part in imparting knowledge to job seekers regarding different schemes and avenues available to avail their own livelihood. He urged  youth to come farward and get first hand appraisal regarding the jobs kept available via different schemes.

On the occasion, Joint Director Employment J&K interacted with the youth and other stakeholders. She informed & counselled them about various opportunities being offered by the Department. She encouraged them to grab any such opportunities with both hands.

The Minister's presence boosted the morale of job seekers and also signaled the importance of the Job Fairs in connecting job seekers with potential employers/Job Providers.

During the visit, the Hon’ble Minister engaged in discussions with both Job Seekers and employers, emphasizing the need for skill development and promoting opportunities in various sectors.

The job fair saw the participation of more than 2000 job seekers & artisans. 850 job seekers were shortlisted onspot by different employers. More candidates will be adjusted in coming days. At the event, different line departments and skill training providers had installed their stalls for onspot registration and awareness.

An interactive session was also held between the Joint Director, Officers, Employers, other stakeholders and success stories. Joint Director Employment later on handed over momentos, certificates, offer letters to the beneficiaries.

All the Job Aspirants expressed their satisfaction and thanked organisers of the event for providing them a suitable platform to interact with the Employers.(KNS).
