Defence Minister Rajnath Singh honours J&K Bank for supporting education of ex-servicemen's children under CSR

Srinagar, Mar 03 (KNS):  Union Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh has acknowledged J&K Bank’s generous financial contribution under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) towards the education of children of ex-servicemen and war widows. During the Armed Forces Flag Day CSR Conclave held today in New Delhi, Defence Minister felicitated the Bank’s MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee in presence of other notable contributors.


In his remarks on the occasion, the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, "I want to express my gratitude to those who have contributed, for supporting the soldiers of our country, their families, and the brave women with all their hearts. They have provided every kind of support. And I know that in the development of the country, the public sector, as well as the private sector, both have made a major contribution."
 
J&K Bank has contributed a significant amount to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelManaged by the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) under the Ministry of Defence, the AFFDF provides welfare assistance to families of armed forces veterans across India.
 
Commenting on the felicitation, MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee said, “At J&K Bank, we firmly believe in the power of education to transform lives, and this contribution is a small gesture of gratitude towards our armed forces who have dedicated their lives to the nation. We remain committed to support education and community welfare through our CSR initiatives.”
