Srinagar, Nov 12 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday expressed deep sorrow over the recent blast in Delhi, calling the incident “heart-wrenching” and urging authorities to conduct a fair and transparent investigation.
“The blasts that took place in Delhi were heartbreaking. Especially for those who lost their lives it’s a tragedy beyond words. What’s even more painful is that some doctors are being named. These doctors are among the most intelligent and educated; they are the brains of Jammu and Kashmir,” Mehbooba said as per KNS.
She added, “If, after a clean investigation, these allegations turn out to be true, it will be a moment of deep worry for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the Muslims.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelNot only are our best minds being wasted, but it also leaves a stain on our community. I hope the probe will be fair and completed soon.”
Commenting on the Budgam elections, the PDP chief said, “We will know about it day after tomorrow. I can’t say anything now, but once the results are out, only then can we comment in the right way.”
Earlier, Mehbooba welcomed Kaisar into the PDP, describing him as a politically active and dedicated individual. “He understands the vision and commitment of PDP and Mufti Syed. His joining will strengthen our team,” she added.(KNS)
