New Delhi, Jan 10 (KNS):Dense fog in the national capital led to delays of over 100 flights at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Friday morning, affecting operations due to low visibility.
IndiGo, in an early morning update on X, advised passengers to check flight status before heading to the airport. Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) confirmed that while departures were impacted, flights compliant with CAT III technology continued to operate. According to flight tracking website Flightradar.com, more than 100 flights experienced delays. DIAL urged passengers to stay in touch with airlines for updates and apologized for the inconvenience. IndiGo also advised travelers to allow extra time for their journey as poor visibility slowed down road traffic.
IGIA handles approximately 1,300 flight movements daily, making it one of the busiest airports in the country. (KNS)
