Anantnag, July 20 (KNS): A sudden outbreak of diarrhea, loose motion, and vomiting has affected over sixty residents In Srigufwara area of Bijbehera, Anantnag district in South Kashmir, causing widespread concern. The health department responded swiftly, admitting all affected individuals to hospitals during the night of July 19-20.

Block Medical Officer (BMO) Sallar, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad, stated that the likely cause of the outbreak is unsafe or impure drinking water, although tests will be conducted today to confirm this. Dr. Ahmad assured the public that the situation is under control and that awareness campaigns will be conducted to inform residents about preventive measures.
Local officials stress that there is no need to panic as medical teams continue to work diligently to address the situation and ensure the health and safety of the community.
