Tangmarg, July 28 (KNS): Dozens of youth organized a march, led by Iqbal Nabi, Vice-President of the National Conference (Youth), from Khaipora to Tangmarg in protest against the ruined condition of the Tangmarg-Khaipora road. The protestors assembled in Khaipora main market at 9 a.m. and started the march.
The Tangmarg to Khaipora road, which falls under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), remains neglected and in shambles. Despite being constructed under the PMGSY, its current condition suggests the use of poor and low-grade materials.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The youth, numbering in the Dozens, organized the march to express their dissatisfaction with the administration's inaction regarding the road's condition.
One local resident stated, "The condition of the road has worsened over the last four years, and no one from the administration has addressed this issue. We decided to organize a peaceful protest by marching on foot from Khaipora to Tangmarg." (KNS)
