Tral, Aug 1(KNS): The 2 km stretch connecting Kahlil in Tral to Nagabal village has deteriorated severely, causing significant hardship for passengers and vehicle owners.
The road's poor condition has sparked outrage among locals, who blame the PMGSY department for failing to complete the approved 7 km road project from Tral to Nagabal. Only 5 km of the road was constructed, with the remaining 2 km left unfinished due to alleged technical issues. Instead, an additional 2 km was built from Sherabad to Tral, leaving the Nagabal route in disarray.
Residents of Zarihar, Bagander, Mahchhama, Peer Mohalla, Chan Mohalla, Burn Pathri, Panadi, Kanga Lora, and Ada Pathhri, who depend heavily on this road, have appealed to the R&B Department to address the issue.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The R&B department has acknowledged the road's poor condition and assured that a plan is underway, though approval is still pending. An officer who visited the site confirmed that certain sections have worsened and promised to find a temporary solution to alleviate public suffering.
Locals are demanding immediate repairs and the completion of the original project to prevent further inconvenience and economic losses.(KNS).
