Srinagar, March 14 (KNS): Director of Floriculture Kashmir, Shakeel-ur-Rahman, inaugurated a large-scale plantation drive at Wazir Bagh, Anantnag, by planting a sapling in the presence of the Joint Director Floriculture Kashmir, Deputy Director Floriculture, District Floriculture Officer, and other department officials.
The initiative, aimed at enhancing the beauty and appeal of the region's gardens and parks, is set to expand across various districts in South Kashmir. In the first phase, over 10,000 saplings of diverse flower varieties will be planted to promote the aesthetic value of these public spaces.
Speaking to the media, Shakeel-ur-Rahman highlighted the department's goal of attracting more tourists this year, which, in turn, would generate greater employment opportunities in the region.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"We are introducing new plant and flower varieties at different locations, which will not only beautify the area but also serve as a draw for tourists," Rahman stated.
