Director SCERT JK Inaugurates "Kashmiri E Dictionary


Srinagar, July 19, (KNS): The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Jammu and Kashmir, an advisory body to the Department of School Education, JK Government, is committed to enhancing the quality of education in the region. Today, SCERT JK proudly inaugurated the "Kashmiri E Dictionary" at a prestigious function held at the SCERT JK Divisional Office Kashmir in Bemina, Srinagar. This landmark event signifies a major stride in preserving and promoting the Kashmiri language through digital innovation.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Professor (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director of SCERT JK. In his address, Professor Manhas lauded the collaborative efforts of the Department of Education in Languages and the Department of Education in Communication Technology and Computer Science, which jointly developed the e-dictionary. He emphasized that such initiatives are crucial in the digital age for preserving linguistic heritage and enhancing educational resources.
Professor (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas highlighted the importance of the
"Kashmiri E Dictionary" as a tool that will significantly benefit educators, students, and language enthusiasts. He commended the dedication and ingenuity of the teams involved and stressed the need for regular updates to the dictionary to keep it comprehensive and relevant.
