Srinagar, July 19: jaz Ahmad Bhat Director Sericulture J&K, today visited District Sericulture Office,Central Division Srinagar, Mulberry Nurseries, Cocoon Warehouse and Cocoon Auction Market at Alochi Bagh Srinagar. Pertinently, these facilities are currently undergoing significant up-gradation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director Sericulture J&K emphasized the importance of strengthening work culture in the department and exhorted upon all the officers of J&K Sericulture Development Department to work on mission mode in order to achieve all developmental targets in a time bound manner. He further highlighted the need for making concerted efforts by all the stakeholders to develop and ensure significant expansion of sericulture sector in the region.
The Director Sericulture J&K assessed the progress related to the up-gradation of the existing infrastructure under the NABARD at Srinagar. In addition to above the Director underscored the importance of maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the District Sericulture Office, Central Division, Srinagar and the surrounding facilities at Allochi Bagh Srinagar. He instructed the employees to ensure a blissful and clean working environment crucial for sensitive and delicate technical operations.
MAjaz Ahmad Bhat commended the officers and employees of the department for their relentless efforts in boosting cocoon production. He expressed his happiness over this year's successful rearing season and bumper cocoon crop production. He attributed this success to the dedication and hard work of the sericulture team.
The Director's visit underscores the J&K Sericulture Development Department's commitment to enhancing sericulture infrastructure and production, ensuring that the sector continues to thrive and contribute significantly to the region's economy.
