Jammu, July 04 KNS) : A meeting of District Congress Committee Jammu Urban was held here today at PCC HQ Jammu to take stock of the upcoming elections besides discussing the burning issues of the people. The meeting was chaired by PCC President Shri Vikar Rasoool Wani and Working President Shri Raman Bhalla was the guest of honour.
The meeting was organized by District Congress Committee Jammu Urban led by Th. Manmohan Singh and attended by Senior leaders of PCC, DCC, Block & Ward Presidents, Frontal Organizations heads and others. Prominent among them include PCC Vice Presidents Yogesh Sawhney (Ex-Minister), Ved Mahajan (Ex-MLC), Rajnish Sharma (Treasurer), Smt. Kanta Bhan, Pawan Raina, Shashi Sharma, T.S. Tony, Namrata Sharma, Suresh Dogra, Amrit Bali, Satish Sharma, General Secretary IYC Uday Chib, INTUC President Shiv Kumar Sharma, Seva Dal Chief Vijay Sharma, Chairman Social Media Jatin K Raina, Bhavishya Sudan, Bhanu Mahajan, S. Harbinder Singh Mehta, Sanjeev Sharma (Panda), Rajvir Singh, Michael Wazir, Nasar Masih, Dr. RK Khajuria, Latish Sharma, Ricky Dalotra, Ram Parkash Magotra, S.P Sapolia, Chander Shekhar, Pawan dev Singh, Rakesh Sharma, Kewal Krishan Jogi, Nageshwar Narayan, Vinay Sharma, Ram Magotra, Dewan Chand, Manjeet Singh Bedi, Baldev Sigh Wazir, Balwinder Singh, Shamsher Chand, and others.
The meeting took feedback from the grass root level party functionaries of district Jammu regarding just concluded Parliament elections in their respective areas and asked the party cadres to gear up for next elections and defeat the anti people anti youth, anti students, anti farmers, BJP regime. The party also sought input from block and Ward presidents regarding the activities of the party.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Vikar Rasool Wani said that BJP cannot face LOP Shri Rahul Gandhi and Congress in the Parliamentary debate, resorting to hooliganism on streets. They don’t believe in debate, dialogue in democracy and resorting to cheap publicity tactics. Congress ready to take on BJP in democratic manner and would defeat their divisive politics in coming electins.

He complimented the people of Jammu region for believing in togetherness and religious harmony despite grave provocations by vested interests
He said that BJP Govt. in its 10 years rule under the prime minister ship of Shri Narinder Modi has ruined the country in every field. Every section of the society is suffering due to its wrong policies and wrong decisions. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are the most sufferers. The Modi Govt. has snatched the right of jobs and land from the people of J&K by downgrading a full-fledged state into Union Territory. The property tax, toll plazas, smart meters, unemployment has added more in the miseries of people of Jammu and Kashmir, Wani added.
Raman Bhalla said that unemployment is increasing day by day. Govt. advertizes jobs, Sell application forms by charging heavy fee and then cancel these jobs on various reasons. In this process many youth have become over aged and frustrated for their future. The people, especially youth will certainly ask the local leaders of BJP , what they have done for them.
He criticized BJP leadership for ignoring and neglecting the mandate of Jammu who remained as mute spectators for the sake of power. The people are deeply hurt over attitude of BJP leaders in the Govt. but unfortunately the people are exploited in the name of religion and castes. Such a divisive politics is dangerous for the state and nation. He asked the leaders and activists of Jammu Urban to fan out in their areas and educate the masses about the failures of BJP Govt. at the Centre and State.
Manmohan Singh stressed upon the need to counter the false propaganda of BJP claiming to be champions of Jammu for last seven decades but miserably failed when they got huge mandate on falsehood and unachievable slogans. BJP stands exposed totally and it can no longer befool the masses of Jammu region. The people must reject all opportunists and exploitative politics in coming elections, he added. (KNS)
