Srinagar, Sept 14 (KNS): PDP Leader and Assembly Candidate for the Budgam Constituency, Agha Muntazir, has appealed to the Delhi Court to consider granting bail to other separatist leaders who are facing the same charges as Engineer Rashid, who was recently granted bail. He noted that the NIA Act, which was created by Congress and extended by Omar Abdullah in J&K, offers little scope for bail.
Muntazir said, "I don't want to get into the political aspects of this. I don't know whether it was a policy decision or a court decision.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHowever, other separatists facing the same charges should also receive relief on the same merit."
Additionally, the PDP Leader termed the Wakaf Bill as part of an "Anti-Muslim and Anti-Kashmiri Project" and stated that its aim is to tarnish the image of the custodians of religious places. He expressed gratitude to the people of Budgam for proposing his name as their representative in the upcoming Assembly Elections.(KNS).
