Handwara, August 21 (KNS): Hakeem tanver the Dist program Officer poshan projects kupwara , inaugurated a 6-day training program titled "Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi" for Anganwadi workers at the Government Degree College Villgam,Rahmal. Kupwara District. The initiative, launched on Monday, aims to equip Anganwadi workers with essential skills and knowledge necessary for nurturing young children during their formative years.

She emphasized that the program's core objective is to provide high-quality, play-based early childhood care and education while also reinforcing the understanding of nutrition through initiatives like Poshan 2.0 and Saksham Anganwadi.
Speaking on the occasion, tanver highlighted the government’s commitment to the holistic development of children under six years of age. The "Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi" initiative is in line with the recommendations of the NEP 2020 and the ECCE Taskforce established by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. These recommendations are the result of extensive consultations with state governments, experts, parents, and the community.
Tahmeema Qadir, the Course Coordinator and CDPO Rahmal, also played a significant role in coordinating the training program. The initiative stands as a testament to Kupwara's dedication to promoting early childhood development and nutritional literacy.
