SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 3 (KNS): Secretary, Health and Medical Education, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, reviewed the functioning of J&K National Health Mission (NHM) during a meeting held here today.
During the meeting, a detailed presentation was displayed by Mission Director NHM, J&K, Nazim Zai Khan, wherein he briefed about vital information and critical data with respect to all the programmes and schemes being implemented under the ambit of NHM in J&K. Besides, various achievements and milestones accomplished in delivery of healthcare services through various interventions and innovations of NHM were also highlighted.
The Secretary took stock of all the key issues and directed for various measures and improvements to be adopted in order to make implementation of the mission more vibrant and result oriented.
Dr. Abid Rasheed gave directions to the team of NHM to follow an evidence based and data driven planning and decision making after critical data analysis and corrective actions thereof, target specific and time bound actions, timely submission of Utilization Certificates and carry out impact assessment of all the interventions so that corrective measures are taken accordingly.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The Secretary interacted with the senior officers and programme incharges of NHM from both the divisions, seeking their feedback and inputs for further improvement of their respective programmes.
He appreciated the healthcare services being rendered under the flagship scheme, while assuring full support and handholding from the Administrative Department H&ME.
Mission Director, NHM apprised regarding genuine issues and requirements of the department so as to ensure better delivery of services on grassroots level.
Rajni Charak, Director P&S NHM, Dr. Des Raj Bhagat, Additional Secretary, H&ME, Dr Mohammad Shafi Koka, State Nodal Officer NHM, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Divisional Nodal Officer Kashmir, Dr. Harjeet Rai Divisional Nodal Officer, Jammu and all the Programme Managers and officers of the department were present during the meeting.(KNS)
