Dr. Farooq calls for collective efforts to protect tree cover in J&K

Srinagar Mar 23 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah in his message on international Arbor Day today, highlighted the importance of caring for trees to sustainably protect our planet's natural resources.

 

Dr. Farooq emphasized the significance of planting trees and sowing seeds, stating that when a bird, person, or animal benefits from the fruits of a tree, it is considered a charitable gift (sadaqah). Quoting the revered patron saint Nund Reshi (RA), he reiterated the profound connection between food and forests, especially in the face of climate change.
