Srinagar, July (KNS): Dr. M. Maheshwari has officially taken charge as the Director, Central Sericultural Research & Training Institute (CSR&TI), Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, Pamore. On her maiden visit to the Directorate of Sericulture Department in J&K, Dr. Maheshwari was warmly welcomed by Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), Director of Sericulture, J&K.
During her visit, Dr. Maheshwari assured the Director Sericulture J&K of her full support. She emphasized that the Central Silk Board will provide special training programs for silkworm Rearers, Farmers, and Youth and will focus on their welfare and upliftment.
A significant highlight of Dr. Maheshwari’s address was the commitment to expedite the Mulberry Plantation Project along the National Highway, a joint venture between CSR&TI and the Directorate of Sericulture, J&K.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelShe assured that the required mulberry foliage would be supplied free of cost to the silkworm rearers from every mulberry farm managed by the Central Silk Board in J&K.
Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat expressed his gratitude towards Mr. P. Sivakumar (IFS), Member Secretary of the Central Silk Board, Bangalore, and Dr. M. Maheshwari for their steadfast support to the sericulture sector in J&K.
