Anantnag, August 03 (KNS): Dr. Rashmi Singh, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government Hospitality and Protocol Department and Electoral Roll Observer appointed by the Election Commission of India (ECI), visited Anantnag to review the ongoing 2nd Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls-2024.
During her visit, Dr. Singh was briefed by District Election Officer (DEO) Anantnag, SF. Hamid, on the progress of the revision process. Dr. Singh emphasized the importance of ensuring no eligible voter is overlooked and commended the district for its progress. She highlighted the need for achieving full saturation of eligible voters per ECI guidelines and praised the historic voter turnout in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, attributing it to the district's efforts in promoting democratic engagement.
The Special Summary Revision ordered by the Election Commission is set to conclude in August.(KNS)
