Srinagar, Apr 26 (KNS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Saturday forecasted generally dry weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir over the coming days, with only brief chances of light rain or thundershowers at isolated places.
According to the MET Centre, April 26 is expected to remain largely dry, though a brief spell of light rain or thundershowers may occur towards the afternoon at isolated locations. From April 27 to April 30, and continuing into May 1, the weather is predicted to stay dry across the region. Issuing an advisory, the MET Centre has urged people to strictly follow administrative and traffic advisories during this period. It has also warned of generally hot and dry weather over the Jammu Division, with heatwave conditions likely at isolated spots.
People have been advised to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and fluids and to avoid stepping outdoors or working in open areas during peak heat hours between 12 noon and 3 pm. (KNS)
