Srinagar, Nov 19 (KNS): The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has issued a circular instructing all schools, including government, private, and recognized coaching centers, to strictly prohibit students from driving motor vehicles to educational institutions.
The directive aims to curb the rising incidents of underage driving, which have led to tragic accidents and posed a threat to public safety.
The circular highlights that no student (minor) should be allowed to attend school or coaching centers while operating any motor vehicle, including two-wheelers or four-wheelers. Heads of institutions and administrators have been instructed to strictly enforce compliance with these guidelines. Parents and guardians are to be informed of their responsibilities in ensuring adherence to the directive.

The circular warns that institutions failing to comply with the directive will face stringent actions, including the withdrawal of recognition or registration, as per applicable laws. Heads of institutions have been urged to disseminate the directive widely among staff, students, and parents.
