Srinagar, Nov 23(KNS): A team led by the District Registering Authority (Chief Medical Officer Srinagar) and the District Health Officer Srinagar, in collaboration with the Drug Department, conducted a routine inspection in the city.
The inspection revealed multiple clinical establishments and medical setups operating without proper registration and in violation of the Clinical Establishment Registration and Regulation Act (CERR Act). As a result, several facilities were closed on the spot for non-compliance.
Among the establishments found in violation were Crestcare Laboratory opposite SKIMS JVC Bemina, Jhelum Valley Chemists and Druggists where an in-house SRL Laboratory was operating, and a consultation chamber named Kids Health Clinic located near JVC Bemina.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Other facilities, including City Clinical Laboratory in Shah Colony opposite JVC Hospital, Peace Diagnostic Center, TCT Clinical Laboratory, Sajad Medicate Chemists and Druggists (which housed an unregistered consultation chamber), and Atulaya Healthcare Imaging and Laboratories, all situated in the JVC Bemina area, were also shut down during the operation.
Additionally, the team inspected several medical shops for illegally collecting samples. Authorities have reiterated the importance of adhering to regulatory guidelines and completing mandatory registrations, warning that failure to comply will result in strict action.(KNS).
