Good Deeds Day is a global movement that unites 110+ countries around the world in doing good deeds. Since 2007, millions of people and thousands of organizations and businesses worldwide have united together every year to do good and volunteer, putting into practice the simple idea that every person can do a good deed, be it large or small, to improve the lives of others and positively impact the world.
Crossing all borders and cultures thousands of businesses and organizations unite to do good. In Jammu & Kashmir’s North District Bandipora, Good Deeds Day – celebrates the Unconditional Love of Mothers on Mother’s Day event in very collaborative manner at Conference Hall, DDAC Bandipora. The Mother’s Day 2024 aligning with the vision of Good Deeds Day was celebrated by Department of Social Welfare, Bandipora, Govt of J & K, UT under able supervision of District Social Welfare Officer, Bandipora, Mr Sahir Majeed, JKAS, jointly in collaboration with J & K Students Welfare Mission (Coordinator, Good Deeds Day, J & K), SAKHI – One Stop Centre, SANKALP, Hub for Empowerment of Women, District Drug De-Addiction Centre, Senior Citizens Home, Shehjar Youth Foundation, SAKHI Foundation, Women Empowerment Trust, AAA Foundation Bandipora, Rehash Foundation, J & K and other non-profit volunteers.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelMore than 15 organizations and about 110 volunteers participate in the said event including a renowned Social Activist, Saleem Ibni Farooq, who hailed the collaborative efforts of the organization for such a wonderful Good Deeds Day.
Speaking about the sidelines of the event, Vice Chairman JKSWM, Nisar Ahmad said “Good Deeds Day is first of its kind in Jammu & Kashmir, being celebrated by JKSWM in collaboration with various departments and organizations”. “At Good Deeds Day, we believe that if people will think good, speak good and do good, the circles of goodness will grow in the world,” she added while extending gratitude to GDD Global & GDD India and all aforementioned collaborative organizations. As on Mother's Day, the world pauses to honor the unsung heroes, the nurturing souls who weave love into every fiber of existence, we took it an opportunity to celebrate the boundless affection, the selfless sacrifices, and the gentle yet unyielding strength that mothers embody as a Good Deeds Day today.
