Srinagar, Sep 05: Jammu & Kashmir Peoples’ Conference (JKPC) senior leader Abid Ansari Thursday stated that era of keeping faith in hollow slogans have now been over, and people are watching who in real sense struggling for them.
“People do not believe in hollow slogans now. This era has been over. They have become politically mature as compare to past, and are observing who are struggling for their survival, livelihood and dignity,” JKPC leader Abid Ansari told media persons after filing his nomination for Srinagar’s Zadibal Assembly segment.
“I have fought elections in past as well.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThis is not new affair for me today,” he told reporters.
“Time will decide. Today’s election will be for the development. In 2014 I have got 18 months in power, and I did tremendous work for my constituency, and compare my work with those who were in power for decades. They did nothing except they kept people engage in hollow slogans,” he said.
He said people have been enough mature today and are taking part in electoral process massively.
When asked to comment on NC-Congress alliance, the JKPC leader said, “This is an old talk”. (KNS)
