Fire engulfs in Gurez market demaged residential house, 05 shops

Bandipora, Oct 13 (KNS): In a devastating fire incident that broke out in Dawar market of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district this eveneing demaged a residential house, and five shops officials said.

Local sources told KNS, that around 05 shops, and one residential house were damaged in a fire incident in Dawar Gurez which broke out this evening at around 8:30 in Tulail market a bussiest market of Gurez valley.

The exact cause of the fire was not immediately known.

However, firefighters, police and local people are on a job to control the fire and douse the flames.

"We are at ground zero five shops and one residential house have been completely demaged in the incident, fire under control now," SDM Gurez Mukthar Ahmad told KNS.

Meanwhile Deputy commissioner, Bandipora Manzoor Ahmad Qadri while speaking with the KNS said that SDM Gurez, Tehsildar Gurez, SDPO Gurez are monitoring the situationon ground zero.

"I am personally monitoting the overall situation from district headquarter Bandipora, we have also depstached one fire fighter team from Bandipora and one from Tulail to the location so that the area could be saved from further demage,". (KNS)
