Anantnag, June 29 (KNS): The first batch of Amarnath Yatris was ceremoniously flagged off today by the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag, and other officers from the civil and police administration.
The event witnessed a wave of enthusiasm and energy as the Yatris, chanting "Bum Bum Bhole" and other devotional songs, began their journey towards Chandanwadi base camp.
The Shrine Board, in coordination with the administration and police, has put in place stringent security measures to ensure the safety of the pilgrims.
