Bandipora, Jan 18 (KNS): Five people were injured during a clash between two groups in the Binlipora Aloosa area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district over a land dispute.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials confirmed that a case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the altercation and any legal consequences.
Locals appreciated the swift action of the police, as officers from the Aloosa police post reached the scene on time, preventing further escalation. Police have also tightened security in the village to ensure peace.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Meanwhile, the District Magistrate has stepped in to prevent further unrest by attaching the disputed land and placing it under the custody of Tehsildar Aloosa.
An official order prohibits any individual from entering, using, or claiming the land until the matter is resolved.
The District Magistrate has directed the SHO of Bandipora to enforce the order strictly and warned of legal action against any violations.
Parties involved in the dispute have been summoned to appear before the District Magistrate on January 20, 2025, for resolution.(KNS)
