Srinagar, Feb 22 (KNS): A group of five Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) from Kashmir Valley Saturday boycotted a function organized by the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir (SKUAST-K), citing a breach of protocol in the invitation process.
The MLAs who abstained from the event included Salman Sagar, Hilal Lone, Mushtaq Guru, Sheikh Khursheed, and Tanveer Sadiq.
Speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), one of the MLAs expressed their displeasure, stating that their names were placed last in the invitation list prepared by the university administration.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“The minister should not have attended the function either, given the failure to follow proper protocol,” the MLA asserted. The MLA further commented that such lapses undermine the dignity of elected representatives and weaken institutional integrity.
The absence of the MLAs raises concerns over adherence to official protocol in government-affiliated events. (KNS)
