Srinagar, Sep 25 (KNS): A delegation of 20 diplomats from 16 foreign missions is arriving in Srinagar to observe the second phase of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections.
The delegation, including representatives from the US, EU, Russia, and Australia, was invited by the Indian government to witness the electoral process. This marks the first time foreign diplomats will observe elections in J&K since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The diplomats will visit Srinagar and Budgam districts to monitor voting in several constituencies. The government aims to showcase the peaceful conduct of the electoral process and "large-scale participation" in the region.
The delegation includes four representatives from the Ministry of External Affairs. (KNS).
