Forest Department organized Training Session for Employees on Handling Social Media Management

Srinagar January 11 (KNS): training session on social media handling was organized for the employees of the Forest Department at Sheikhbagh Forest Complex, Srinagar today.

The session aimed to equip employees with the necessary SOPs to effectively manage social media platforms while adhering to government guidelines.

The training session focused on enhancing the online presence of the Forest Department, promoting awareness about environmental conservation, and fostering engagement with the public.
 
Employees learned about best practices for creating engaging content, responding to online queries, and addressing grievances.
Employees were briefed on the Government's Social Media Policy and guidelines for handling official communications. Speaking on the occasion Irfan Rasool Wani, Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir said "the Social media is a powerful tool that can bridge the gap between government agencies and the community. The platform improves the communication with the public and increase awareness about environmental conservation.

Danish Khan, DFO Planning and Publicity Division in his speech said the Forest Department plans to continue hosting training sessions to further develop the employees' skills in handling social media platform.
