Former ACD Abdul Rashid Dass Denies Allegations Circulating on Social Media

Srinagar, Nov 17(KNS): Abdul Rashid Dass, the former Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) in Bandipora, Friday dismissed allegations circulating on social media made by certain miscreants.

"I want to clarify that certain miscreants including a lady, are disseminating false information about me through social media. These claims are entirely baseless. In reality, a group of miscreants is attempting to extort bribes by falsely accusing me of exceeding approved government petrol usage," he stated while rejecting the allegations leveled against him.

He added that these miscreants went so far as to approach my friends, urging them to convince me to pay a bribe, which I firmly declined.

They insisted on a bribe of around 5 lakh rupees, but I stood my ground.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIn retaliation, they began spreading false information about me on social media.

Their claims revolve around alleged excessive petrol consumption beyond government norms. The truth is, I adhere strictly to the government-approved allowance petrol, maintaining a professional standard throughout.

"In addition to complying with petrol norms, the government allocates 1700 rupees daily for vehicle expenses and petrol. Surpassing this limit is implausible for me, given my consistent commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout my service," he added.(KNS).
