Srinagar March 8 (KNS): Javid Hussain Baig, former MLA and nephew of ex-deputy chief minister Muzaffar Husssain Baig Friday joined the National Conference.
Baig joined the party in presence of party vice president Omar Abdullah and other senior leaders.
Following the abrogation of Article 370, the PDP ousted him for engaging with foreign envoys brought in by the Centre to Kashmir.
In the 2020 district development council elections, he faced defeat in both seats within the Baramulla assembly segment to the Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD).(KNS)
