Jammu, Nov 22 (KNS): Satish Sharma, Minister for Youth Services and Sports, J&K, laid the foundation stones for multiple sports facilities in Khour Akhnoor in the presence of Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, BDO Chairman, Sarpanch, DDC Chairman, and other officials. The event witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of youth and sports enthusiasts.
The Minister inaugurated the construction of a Synthetic Volleyball Court at Government High School, Khui Millan, Block Samwan, and the Development of a Playfield at Sailawali, Block Khour, Akhnoor.
Speaking at the occasion, Satish Sharma expressed gratitude to the J&K Sports Council for their swift action in initiating these projects. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council, thanked the Hon’ble Minister for his continuous support. She highlighted the Council’s dedication to developing sports infrastructure and promoting athletes across J&K. “The establishment of Khelo India and PMDP centres has enabled athletes from remote areas to compete at high levels, showcasing the immense potential of J&K’s youth,” she added.
