Srinagar, Jan 7 (KNS)Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport, Srinagar, has been grappling with frequent flight cancellations and disruptions due to poor visibility and snowfall, exposing the region’s inadequate aviation infrastructure.
Ahmad Ayaz, a well-known social activist and national TV debater, has voiced concerns over the airport’s persistent shortcomings, calling for urgent upgrades. He highlighted that passengers are facing severe inconveniences due to outdated landing systems, limited runway facilities, and inadequate essential services, which not only disrupt travel but also harm Kashmir’s reputation as a premier global tourist destination.
