GDC Baramulla Student Represents J&K at “Know Your Leaders” Programme in Parliament


BARAMULLA, Nov 11(KNS): In a proud moment for Jammu and Kashmir, Rawhaan Rafiq Buhroo, a final-year Political Science student of Government Degree College (GDC) Baramulla, became the sole participant from J&K to attend and address the Parliament under the “Know Your Leaders” programme.

Rawhaan paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 150th birth anniversary, delivering an impactful address highlighting Patel’s key role in uniting the nation. Her participation marked a significant milestone, showcasing her remarkable journey from Baramulla to the Central Hall of Parliament.

Despite facing challenges of limited exposure and socio-political constraints, Rawhaan has emerged as a symbol of talent, determination, and confidence.

To recognise her achievement, the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla felicitated Rawhaan during a ceremony at GDC Baramulla in the presence of the Principal, faculty members, and students. The DC praised her performance and extended congratulations on behalf of the district administration.

The Principal also lauded Rawhaan’s dedication, attributing her success to strong family support, teacher guidance, and her unwavering hard work.

A distinguished debater and public speaker, Rawhaan has earlier received multiple honours for academic excellence and youth leadership. She continues to represent J&K with distinction on various national platforms.
