Srinagar, March 14 (KNS): Prominent religious scholar Ghulam Rasool Hami has criticized the growing trend of religious debates on social media, where some individuals, particularly self-styled preachers, engage in disputes for personal gain.
He alleged that certain individuals exploit religious issues for likes, views, and income from YouTube and Facebook, rather than engaging in meaningful or scholarly discussions.
Hami stressed that true Ulema do not fight on social media but handle disagreements with dignity, adhering to the principles of Adab (respect), Shariah, and morality.
