Srinagar, June 18 (KNS): 12 students of Government Middle School (GMS) Onagam have been selected to participate in the prestigious General Aptitude Test (GAT) conducted by Aloha J&K.
This marks the first time that students from a government school will be competing in this three-stage examination, which has been held annually for the past 10 years and primarily sees participation from private institutions across the Union Territory.
To support the students in their preparation, Chief Education Officer Bandipora Mr Ab Rasheed Mir, accompanied by the Principal of NM Higher Secondary School Bandipora Mr Ab Rasheed Lone, visited GMS Onagam and distributed necessary study material among the participants.
Additionally, to nurture a literary culture among young learners, copies of the popular children’s magazine Bachon Ki Duniya were handed over to 10 selected students.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
This milestone has been made possible by the generous support of Mr. Mubashir Wafie, CEO of Aloha J&K, who facilitated the free registration of the students for the examination. His gesture is a significant step towards bridging the gap between government and private educational opportunities.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude, the Headmaster of GMS Onagam—also a recipient of the Best Teacher Award Javaid Jawad thanked Wafie and the entire Aloha J&K team for recognizing the potential of students from government schools and for extending this opportunity to them.
He expressed his gratitude to CEO Bandipora and Principal NM Higher secondary school for their support.
This initiative is expected to set a precedent for inclusive academic excellence in Bandipora.(KNS)
