Srinagar May 12 (KNS):  Expressing anguish over the loss of life and property in cross-border conflict in both Jammu as well as in Kashmir regions, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra on Monday urged the Govt to take immediate measures to ensure compensation and resettlement of all displaced people.
 
Karra strongly urged both Govt of India and J&K Govt to grant all the deceased persons status of martyr.
In a statement, JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra expressed pain and anguish over the loss of life and property in the recent cross border conflict,seeking immediate rehabilitation and compensation in favour of injured persons and those lost their lives in the conflict.
 
JKPCC President also urged upon the Govt to make assessment of losses caused to public property and infrastructure and ensure compensation and resettlement of the affected people.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThere have been reports of extreme losses in border areas in North Kashmir especially Uri & Karnah in Kashmir region resulting in mass public evacuation thus adding more woes to border residents.
 
Rajouri & Poonch in Jammu region have similarly suffered extreme damages in terms of loss of life and property. I urge upon the Govt to ensure rehabilitation and compensation of affected people on war footing basis, so that people are able to resume their normal life activities, JKPCC President added and expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathizes with the families who lost their dear ones in the conflict and also prayed for speedy recovery of injured persons.(KNS)
