Srinagar, May 16 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Hajj Committee on Friday stated that it has taken up the matter of 1,890 pilgrims who are yet to depart for Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
The final travel schedule for the remaining pilgrims is likely to be released within the next two to three days.
According to the CEO of the J&K Hajj Committee, discussions have already been held with the Hajj Committee of India regarding the issue, and all efforts are being made to ensure that the remaining pilgrims are accommodated at the earliest.
“A total of 11 Hajj flights were scheduled to depart from Srinagar International Airport. So far, five flights have successfully taken off, carrying hundreds of pilgrims,” he said.
“The matter has been discussed with the Hajj Committee of India, and we are hopeful that the schedule for the remaining pilgrims will be released shortly. Once announced, the departure process will resume accordingly,” he said.
The CEO further said that all necessary arrangements are being made to facilitate a smooth, comfortable, and well-organized journey for the remaining pilgrims.
The Hajj Committee has urged the pilgrims and their families to remain patient and assured them of timely updates as soon as the final schedule is received. (KNS)
