Handwara, August 30, (KNS): In its continued efforts to strengthen community-police relations and safeguard the future of youth, Handwara Police today organised a comprehensive Awareness Programme on Drug Addiction and New Criminal Laws at Girls High School, Qalamabad.
The programme was attended by a large gathering of students, staff members, and respectable citizens of the area. Officers of Handwara Police, along with legal experts, interacted with the participants and delivered informative lectures.
Speaking on the menace of drug abuse, the officers sensitised the students about the grave health hazards, psychological impact, and social consequences of drug addiction. They emphasised the collective responsibility of parents, teachers, and the community in guiding youth away from this destructive path.
