Handwara, July 21 (KNS): In a continued effort to curb illegal mining and unauthorized transportation of minerals, Handwara Police conducted a special drive across various areas of the Police District and seized six tractors and three dumpers being used without legal permission.
The operation was launched based on specific inputs and carried out in strict accordance with environmental and mining laws. Cases have been registered under relevant legal sections, and investigations are ongoing to identify and act against those involved in the illegal activity.
Handwara Police have reaffirmed their commitment to protecting natural resources and urged the public to report any illegal mining or mineral transport to the nearest police station. Officials stated that strict legal action will be taken against all violators.(KNS)
