Srinagar, August 18 (KNS): Hundreds of prominent individuals from various parts of Srinagar, including Nowhatta, Khawajabazar, Khanyar, Habba Kadal, and Lal Chowk, joined Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference today. The grand joining ceremony was held at the party headquarters in Press Enclave, Lal Chowk.

The event was presided over by ANC Senior Vice President Muzzafar Shah, accompanied by other party stalwarts. Shah welcomed the new members into the party fold, expressing ANC's readiness to represent the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming Assembly elections.

The event witnessed the presence of several prominent party stalwarts, including Aga Iftikhar Hussain Jalali, Adv. Mir Mohammad Shafi, Abdul Rashid Wani, Mir Aman Ullah Kant, Mohammad Yousuf Shaiyar, Nazir Ahmad Pandit, Deen Mohammad Wani, Abdul Hamid Mir, Mohammad Sultan Bhat, Mehraj U Din Siraj, Rahi Riyaz Ahmad, Shabir Ahmad Mir, Arshid Ahmad Rather, Mohammad Aslam, Abdul Ahad Khimber, Haji Lateef Shalla, Aatif Kant, Noorudin Qureshi, and Zahid Ahmad.

He emphasized the party's commitment to resolving public issues and continuing the fight for the constitutional rights of the people.

Following the ceremony, a meeting was held with the newly joined members. Shah addressed several key points brought to the ANC leadership's attention, which the party plans to resolve once a public government is formed.

"Immediate allotment of plots for 10,000 BPL families living in clusters in Old City and downtown areas will be implemented on a war footing basis," Shah said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He further observed that the incomplete masterplan connection lines of the Public Health Engineering department, now under the Jal Shakti department, need urgent attention, especially in the Shahr-e-Khass area. "The macadamization of lanes and bylanes across the region is also a priority that needs immediate action," Shah added.

Shah stressed the importance of these issues and ANC's commitment to addressing them promptly upon forming the government. "Awami National Conference is dedicated to representing the people's interests and working tirelessly to resolve their problems," he stated.

The joining ceremony saw the participation of numerous prominent individuals from various areas of Srinagar, reflecting a growing support base for the Awami National Conference.
