Srinagar, Aug 15(KNS): GMC Srinagar and its associated hospitals currently have 34 ICU (ventilator) beds and additional high dependency beds. These beds are allocated based on patient condition and illness, with a calculated decision process.
"Today, a request for an ICU bed was made for Shabir Ahmad, admitted in Radiation Oncology with a case of CA oesophagus. Due to the serious condition of the patient and the high occupancy of beds, the authorities began the process of evaluating the patient and arranging for an ICU bed.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe relatives of the patient expressed concerns during this process," reads a statement.
It said that the authorities have successfully arranged a bed and the patient has been shifted to the ICU following the required protocol.
