**Srinagar, August 22, (KNS): Mohd Suleman Choudhary, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Traffic, convened an introductory meeting today with all Gazetted Officers (GOs) of Traffic Kashmir, including Dr. Ajeet Singh Salaria, IPS, DIG Traffic Range Kashmir. The meeting aimed to assess the current traffic scenario in the region and address the significant challenges in traffic management, with a particular focus on implementing the road safety recommendations mandated by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
The session underscored critical concerns such as traffic congestion, rising accident rates, and the urgent need for better enforcement and infrastructure improvements.
