IGTraffic J&K Hosts Introductory Meeting with Jammu Region Traffic Officers to Address Traffic Management Challenges

Jammu: August 24 (KNS): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Traffic Mohd Suleman Choudhary, held an introductory meeting with the all Gazetted Officers (GOs) of Traffic City/Rural Jammu including Dr. Haseeb Mughul DIG Traffic Range Jammu, Shri Rohit Baskotra, SSP Traffic NHW Ramban, Shri Vinay Kumar, SSP Traffic Rural Jammu & Faisal Qureshi, SSP Traffic City Jammu to address the current traffic scenario in the Jammu region. The meeting aimed to foster better communication, enhance coordination, and set clear goals for traffic management across the region. The discussion highlighted the pressing concerns of traffic congestion, accident rates, and the need for improved enforcement and infrastructure.
Mohd Suleman Choudhary, IPS, IGP Traffic J&K emphasized the importance of a unified approach in addressing traffic management challenges and improving road safety. During the meeting, key issues and strategies were discussed including the implementation of advanced traffic control measures, strengthening enforcement, and leveraging technology for efficient traffic management besides identifying key issues and challenges faced in managing traffic effectively and implementing recommendations set forth by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India regarding road safety.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Rohit Baskotra, SSP Traffic NHW Raman, Vinay Kumar, SSP Traffic Rural Jammu & Shri Faisal Qureshi, SSP Traffic City Jammu presented a detailed presentation on the overall Traffic scenario in their respective juridictions and existing traffic management practices and after that Dr. Haseeb Mughul-IPS, DIG Traffic Range Jammu highlighted the pressing concerns of traffic congestion, issues, road condition and inadequate infrastructure besides some solutions.
Mohd Suleman Choudhary, IPS, IGP Traffic J&K acknowledged the dedication and hard work of the traffic officers and highlighted the need for continued collaboration and innovative solutions to tackle traffic-related issues. The meeting also served as a platform for officers to share their insights, challenges, and suggestions.
The IGP expressed confidence in the collective efforts of the Traffic City Jammu, Traffic Rural Jammu, and NHW teams and reaffirmed the commitment of the Traffic Department to support and enhance their operational capabilities (KNS)
