Srinagar January 13 (KNS): Kiren Rijiju, India’s Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of Minority Affairs, undertook an official visit to Saudi Arabia to finalize a bilateral agreement regarding the Hajj pilgrimage.
During his visit, he held fruitful discussions with H.E. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah.
Rijiju received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Saudi Arabia by Ambassador Dr. Suhel Khan and Deputy Minister for Umrah Affairs, Prof. Abdulaziz A. Wazzan. Later, the Deputy Minister hosted Rijiju for a formal dinner, marking the cordial relations between the two nations.
On 13th January, the Indian minister and H.E. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah signed the bilateral Hajj agreement for 2025. Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Rijiju shared the milestone, stating:
“Haj Agreement 2025 signed with H.E. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister for Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Finalized a quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims from India for Hajj 2025. We are committed to providing the best possible services to all our Haj pilgrims.”
