Srinagar, May 10 (KNS): After a heated match in New York, India and Pakistan are slated to face each other again in March 2025 during the Champions Trophy. This game will be the final league match in the tournament, running from February 19 to March 9.
The draft schedule submitted to the International Cricket Council (ICC) designates Lahore as the venue for the high-profile match. However, this is contingent on the Government of India's approval for the team to play in Pakistan. If approval isn't granted, a hybrid model, similar to the one used in last year's Asia Cup with UAE hosting India’s matches, may be adopted.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has selected Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi as the venues for the 20-day tournament. Lahore is set to host seven matches, including all India games, and the final on March 9. Karachi will host the opening match on February 19 and one of the semifinals, while the other semifinal will be in Rawalpindi.
Currently, neither the PCB nor the ICC is discussing a hybrid model, but changes could occur. The focus now shifts to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian government for their approval.(KNS)
