Indian Army Organised a Veterans Rally in Lolab

 Kupwara January 14 (KNS): Indian army organised a Veterans Rally to ensure a deep and close connect with Veterans in the area of Keegam and Lolab Valley. Keeping this as the backdrop, Chak Kigam Camp under the aegis of Charkut Garrison organised the event on 14 Jan 25.


The Veterans' Rally was organised with an aim to acquaint them with the latest welfare schemes for ex-servicemen and their families, to motivate them to avail the facilities of reputed entities like Sainik Schools/RIMC/Military Schools for their wards and last but not the least to motivate them that a soldier never retires from his duties and responsibilities. They were also told about the role of ex-servicemen in the development of society, and initiatives to be taken by them to ensure harmony & normalcy in the area.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThey were also encouraged to guide the local youth towards positive engagement, so that they remain part of the mainstream and contribute for nation's development.

The ex-servicemen expressed their gratitude towards Indian Army for taking care of them and their families in updating them with the latest welfare schemes and also addressing their grievances.

A total of 132 Veterans, 30 wards attended the rally. In addition aother 18 personnel from various department, had setup stalls to assist the veterans and address their grievances. During the Veterans Rally, the database of veterans were updated. A cultural event was also org for the veterans which incl children from Harshan AGS Krusan.(KNS)
