Kupwara, Oct 18 (KNS): Sports have the power to enhance the values of team work, self-reliance, initiative, leadership and confidence building. To improve the leadership attributes amongst youth, Gushi Army Camp organised Inter School volleyball Championship at Gund Gushi.
A total of eight Higher Secondary/High School teams from Nagri A & B, Hatmulla, Pajipora Bala, Gund Gushi, Karihama, Gushi A and Mugalpura respectively turned up to participate in the tournament. The Boys Higher Secondary School,Karihama Team turned out to be winner after defeating Govt Boys High school, Gushi Team in very closely contested final match.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe event was resounding success and both teams played the match with great exuberance and enthusiasm. Winners and Runner's up teams were felicitated with Cash prize, medals and Trophies.
The championship boosted the morale and confidence of youth to imbibe true sportsmanship spirit amongst them. The event was well appreciated by the locals and they further requested to organise such events frequently.(KNS)
