Srinagar, May 25 (KNS): Iqbal Public High School in Soura hosted a unique event today, featuring an interactive session with the renowned Urdu writer Noor Shah.
The session, held on the school premises, allowed class 10 students to engage with Shah, whose life and fiction are part of their Urdu syllabus prescribed by the JK Board of School Education.
During the session, Shah explained the background and themes of his fiction included in the academic curriculum and answered questions from the students.
The author of over two dozen books, Shah shared how his writing career began more than half a century ago and how he has continued to write consistently for the past six decades.
He emphasized the importance of reading as a permanent habit to develop writing skills and urged students to remain truthful and proactive in fighting social evils like drug abuse.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Students expressed their gratitude to Shah for his visit, appreciating the unique and historic opportunity to interact with a literary legend. Javed Matjee provided a detailed introduction to Shah's life and literary contributions. The guest was also presented with a bouquet and photograph.
The session saw participation from class 10 students of other schools, including Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Soura, and Legend School. Principal Firdous Ali Wani of Boys Higher Secondary School, Soura, commended Iqbal Public High School for organizing such an impressive and unique event.
